Songs of Spring
Published on March 15, 2015
The birds and squirrels are singing their songs of spring. Winter was shorter than our ski guests had hoped this year but that is in the hands of Mother Nature. So we look forward to our bulbs poking out of the ground promising beautiful flowers perhaps in time for Easter this year. Spring is a beautiful time of year! We are stowing away winter bedding and making the rooms fresh with the lighter linens of spring and summer. Whether you are looking for an overnight stay or a stay and play vacation you can count on a clean, quiet , comfortable, stay with a great breakfast here at Alpenrose. We have maintained 5 Star service for over 6 years! We hope to see you soon at Alpenrose! Book NOW for summer and winter stays!
B&B clean versus Hotel Clean
Published on October 24, 2013
There has been so much in the news lately about the level of cleanliness or not in hotels around the country. Here at the B&B it is autumn and that means we take time to do our fall clean up around the yard and in our home and the Bed and Breakfast. This means washing walls and windows , shampooing the carpets and setting up for our winter season. Summer bed coverlets all stowed away and warm cozy sheets duvets and comforters for the winter season. Fresh from being pressed after drying on the line the curtains and bed canopies are all up. The rooms are ready! We clean from corner to corner until all passes my own inspection. The difference between a hotel room and a bed and breakfast room is this is our home and we take personal pride in it.
Guests from around the world
Published on June 6, 2013
People often ask where the guests we welcome year round to our B&B hail from. It's been interesting and exciting for us to host guests from many many different countries. Our breakfast table is always a happy mix of intersting conversations from worldwide travellers. Wherever our guests arrive to us from , one thing is certain...they enter as travellers and leave as friends.

One thing is for certain is in staying at (and owning) a bed and breakfast you meet the most interesting array of travellers whose path you most likely would never cross otherwise. You sit, you drink coffee you play cards you eat breakfast and all the while you converse. You have the opportunity to learn about other countries, professions, family traditions and hobbies. You gain insight into other cultures and ways of life. And guests experience life, meals, tradtions of us here in Canada. In the past couple of weeks we have had guests from Canada, USA, Australian, UK, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, and Belguim. They come to us from all walks of life, tradespeople, physicians, lawyers, personal trainers, chefs, technical engineers, retirees, couples, honeymooners and multi generation families. Sometimes in this world we can feel all alone in a crowd...at a bed and breakfast that is not the case. It is a very enjoyable experience and we hope that you will give it and us a try!

The First country wide celebration of Canada day was in 1967 on Canada's 100th Anniversary. From that point on Canada Day grew and evolved to become widespread. See you downtown Revelstoke for the festivites and later at 2p up MacKenzie Avenue to 414 MacKenzie-Return To Grace Naturopathic Clinic Open house!
